Being one of the older Hiltons in Shenyang, this Doubletree was still holding strong if you ask me. The room products were still okay (albeit some TLC would be nice), service was good, and there was a lounge (whether or not it was a good one is a completely different story).

This hotel also took guest surveys very seriously. After a sub-par experience during my first stay (mainly due to shortcomings in maintenance/upkeep and cigarette smell), I left a 6/10 comment card and thought nothing more of it. I was surprised to see that they proactively addressed and tried to make up for previous issues in my second visit, and housekeeping did something special for my arrival – a very nice (and rare) gesture.

All said, I would definitely consider returning if the price is right.
