When it comes to a highway stop Fairfield, my impression has pretty much always been a meh – not this one. This hotel was brand new and sparkling clean. Check-in was great, and I enjoyed my upgraded studio suite facing the mountain. The view was awesome, however the train track was also on the mountain side and it was definitely noisy for light sleepers – not me fortunately.

The suite itself was good. It was roomy enough (although not exactly a “suite” but more of a spacious guest room) and featured Fairfield’s new design which I quite liked.

Breakfast was typical for midscale hotels, nothing special but a solid B effort. I also took advantage of the laundry facility which was easy and clean as well.
(Note – this following tip is based on my experience a while back, may no longer be an issue at this time)
If you use Google Maps or any sort of navigation device, set your destination at the Ramada, and the hotel is right next door. The address listed on Marriott’s website doesn’t exist as the hotel was recently opened.
