(short review)

It’s not exactly fair if I write the review without mentioning that I paid close to nothing even with the amenity fee added, but the experience reminded me of the golden rule of capitalism – you get what you paid for. The lobby/casino area felt stuck in the 80s, and my non-smoking room wreaked of cigarette and cheap air freshener. The room itself was decently clean, but the layout, the lack of basic amenities (Vegas-style bare bones) and the cheaply put-together bathroom really matched their “value-oriented” strategy. Wifi was also very unreliable (kind of ironic as MGM markets their wifi as part of their amenity fee inclusions, should it not be better if we were, on paper, paying for it…?)

On the flip side, the team was great and empowered to help albeit the longer wait time, although MGM members have the option to skip the line with mobile check-in. The location was good with accessible connections to everything in the area. There was also a good amount of food options available on site, including the (in)famous Dick’s Last Resort, as well as a food court with outside vendors. If you are a cheapo chaser or won’t be spending much time in your room, then go for it. At least it met my definitions for reliable accommodation.
