Not even considering how new the hotel was (opened in 2023), this was definitely one of the best HGIs I’ve experienced room product-wise. The corner room I had was especially nice (particularly the bathroom setup) and did not feel like an HGI at all.

The front desk team was newer and I ran into a fair amount of issues at check-in, but they were very friendly and apologetic along the way. The team also reached out pre-stay for my preferences which was a nice touch (lots of hotels in China do this, always a breeze of fresh air compared to the stale state of hospitality in North America). Overall a very solid experience all around, but the question is, would this make me want to stay in an HGI in North America again? I’m still not changing my answer.
