Hotel4Real!

First of all, based on my experience, I did not find the hotel resort-y. None of the amenities offered here made it stand out, though they were also not charging any resort fees to my knowledge.

My arrival experience was quite pleasant. The city just experienced a power outage during morning rush and the systems were not running at full capacity, but the ladies and gentlemen at the front desk persevered and assisted the best they could. Although no upgrades were available apart from the club floor due to the hotel being full, I was able to get into my room at 10am and they offered the full suite of elite benefits as well as a guaranteed 4pm late check-out. The view from my room was underwhelming, facing another wing of the hotel as well as a construction site. The room itself was on the smaller side as well, and the design was not particularly special which was a shame considering this being a “resort” in a distinct destination like Victoria. My room and bathroom was also on the smaller side as well, though acceptable.

I had the opportunity to enjoy breakfast the next morning just before my flight from YWH. The food was great, view from the patio was splendid and my server was clearly enjoying her job and instantly treated me like an old friend although we had never met.

Everything considered the Delta Victoria was definitely passable as a Delta, but again the word “resort” used loosely in their name didn’t really help the case.
