Residence Inn Montreal

My original accommodation plan did not work out so I booked this Residence Inn last minute. The hotel itself was fine, with (very) compact but newer rooms and a good enough view on the higher floors. I did find the arrival experience less than satisfactory. There was virtually no car port in the front, and parking was in another building some way behind the hotel, which translated into me hauling my luggage through a maze with less than enough signage. Check in was also unimpressive with no attempt from the agent to personalize the interaction – to a point where felt like I was checked in by a “human kiosk”. I also did not receive any elite benefits, including my welcome points, even to this day. Breakfast was mediocre at best, I ended up cooking for myself.
