Holiday Inn Toronto International Airport

My stay here was short – arrived 11pm and left by 4:30 – so I didn’t get to experience everything. However, from what I saw, this hotel is great for short layovers. The shuttles were (somewhat) on time, and during the 5-minute trip each way, my shuttle driver was awesome and engaging. He also went out of his way to make sure everyone on the bus was going to the correct Holiday Inn – very much needed because there were too many in the YYZ area. The front desk was good and proactive. The room was on the plain side and could use some TLC, but for a 5-hour stay I couldn’t care less – though I probably would if I were staying for more than 12 hours. My only issue was the lack of a microwave in room – there was a public microwave in the middle of my floor, but my room was at the end of the hall, so I didn’t bother and had my food cold. Apparently some rooms didn’t have fridges in them either, a bit annoying if you ask me. That being said, all things considered, for shorter layovers and on my own dime – just a comfy bed and a working shower will be needed after all.
