From check-in things went wrong. The unfortunately argumentative front desk agent insisted that I wouldn’t get my guaranteed Titanium benefit because they are a “long-term stay apartment” – had to call multiple times to get Marriott corporate to take care of it. The room had everything that was supposed to be there, but the sad state of the hotel inside out reminded me of a Travelodge, or worse, my university residence. Breakfast was laughable and may as well not be there – I quite literally did not find any hot items at all. The supervisor the following morning was great though and took care of me like I’d expect in a hotel, which didn’t happen during the first half of my stay.
