The hotel’s photos didn’t look all that appealing on Marriott’s app but frankly, upon my arrival, I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby had some amazing touches to its style, and very fitting to its location steps away from the Forbidden City, and the same style extended all the way into my room. View was fine, although don’t expect a full unobstructed view of the Forbidden City as the hotel building is not tall enough.
Service was impressive, from the drinks at check-in to the great chats with the lounge team. One of them (I’m so sorry I forgot the name) was also amazingly knowledgeable that listening her history lesson became a thing we looked forward to every afternoon.
